About:
Roosevelt City and the Arts, Parks, and Recreation Committee is hosting an all day Independence Day Celebration. Feel the patriotism in your heart by starting your day with our flag retirement ceremony ( bring your own flag) provided by the American Legion, to respectfully dispose of the flags that have served you well. Following the retirement ceremony, Roosevelt City will raise our new 60-foot flag 120-feet in the air on the red rock overlooking the Roosevelt Memorial Park. The rest of the afternoon will be filled with sports and activities for the whole family, as well as food vendors. Taking the Constitution Park stage at 5:30 p.m. will be local band Delroy, followed by headliner Mark Mackay at 7:30, and of course no independence day celebration would be complete without the fireworks show, which will begin at 10 p.m.
