Responsibilities


The City Recorder is responsible for the preparation, execution, and archiving of all City Council documents as prescribed by State law and City Code. These duties include:

  • City Council documents, official proceedings, ordinances, and resolutions
  • Board and commission applications and appointments
  • City Council meetings
  • City Council election materials
  • Oaths of the Office for City Council and Commission members
  • Processing documentation for annexation requests
  • Publication of legal notices
  • Recording of official documents
  • Subdivision and project files
