ROOSEVELT CITY PROVIDES WATER, SEWER AND GARBAGE SERVICE
FOR RESIDENTS OF ROOSEVELT.  IF THE WATER LINE RUNS OUT OF THE
CITY LIMITS THERE ARE SOME HOMES IN WHICH WATER IS AVAILABLE FOR CONSUMER USE IN THE HOME.

ROOSEVELT CITY WATER PROVIDED:

Roosevelt City provides water to over 2,000 residences and businesses in Roosevelt.  Water is pumped from over 5 Hayden wells in an 80 acre over
15 miles from Roosevelt.   All wells pump into a 300 KG storage tank where gravity flow
takes over to get the water to Roosevelt.

The water is treated with chlorine to make it safe and high quality.  roosevelt has over 4,800,000 gallon storage capacity in five  different tanks.  Water is cycled through the tanks on a average of two or four days.
Roosevelt does extensive water sampling on a monthly/year  basis.

All wells and tanks are visually checked at least every other day and monitored  full time by computer controlled system.  Roosevelt also sells water to Neola and surrounding communities.

ROOSEVELT CITY SEWER PROVIDED:

Roosevelt City has a sewer  system that serves all residents and businesses within the incorporated boundaries plus the City of Ballard in Uintah County.  Roosevelt is responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of the collection system and treatment plant.

Three of the lagoons are treatment lagoons and one is a fresh water lagoon of waste water that has been treated.  All treatment is natural; no chemicals are added.  The treated water from the three treatment lagoons is discharged to the fresh water lagoon.  The water from the fresh water lagoon is then pumped via five pumps onto an adjacent farm.  The farm land is leased to a farmer and the lease payments cover the pumping costs.

GARBAGE SERVICE PROVIDED:  

The garbage services provided by Roosevelt City is contracted through 
K & K Sanitation.
