Southeast of the Roosevelt City Building on 255 S State is the Roosevelt City Police Department.  Complex  where the Police Department is locatedwas dedicated to Chief Cecil Gurr who was killed in line of duty.

The Roosevelt City Police Department is a very active department.  
Rick Harrison, Police Chief strives to maintain his staff in implementing the services required for citizens of Roosevelt and surrounding areas.  This may include security and updated techniques used in doing so.

Fingerprints and Background Checks
This service is available by the Police Department.
Fee $15.00
Remit the fee at the Front Desk, which is located in the Administration Department
Payment can be made with cash, debit or  credit card.
Hours this service is available as follows:

Sunday, Friday and Saturday - By appointment only

Monday- After 5:00 pm-9:00 pm-By appointment only

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
     9:00 am-4:30 pm-No appointment is necessary

 Ride-Along Program
The Roosevelt Police Department has a Ride-Along program that  allows citizens to accompany a police officer in a patrol car while he or she is working.  Any can apply to go on a Ride-Along if they meet the requirements set out by the Police Department.

Ride-Along Guidelines
The work and activities of law enforcement officers is inherently dangerous.  Strict adherence to the guidelines is necessary to safeguard participants and to minimize the possibility of interference with normal RPD activities and obligations.
