MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING

March 2, 2004

The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Mayor Ormon Sullivan.

A roll call was taken which showed council members Larry Murray, Guy Coleman, John Gardner, Robert Yack, and Dave Woolstenhulme, present. The Mayor stated that the meeting was a specially called meeting and that notice of the time, place and agenda of the meeting had been provided to the local news media and to each member of the governing body.

Others present included City Manager Brad Hancock, City Recorder Carolyn Wilcken, Joan Mortensen, Craig Labrum, Peter Goes, Scott Ehlers, and Sean Riley.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

A motion was made by Larry Murray to go into an executive session to discuss Golf Course Professional candidates. Motion seconded by Robert Yack. Motion carried unanimously.

GOLF PROFESSIONAL INTERVIEWS

Golf Professional interviews were conducted with the following: Craig Labrum, Peter Goes, Scott Ehlers, and Sean Riley.

Mayor Ormon Sullivan called the regular meeting back into session.

GOLF PROFESSIONAL APPROVAL

A motion was made by Dave Woostenhulme to approve candidates Brian James and Craig Labrum, who received the most votes from the interviewing committee. Motion seconded by Larry Murray. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor Sullivan then called for a vote of the City Council on each of these candidates. Brian James received two votes for and three votes against. Craig Labrum received three votes for and two votes against. A motion was made by John Gardner to offer the golf professional contract to Craig Labrum. If for any reason he declines, the job will then be offered to Brian James and then to Scott Ehlers. Motion seconded by Dave Woolstenhulme. Motion carried unanimously.

A motion was made by Dave Woolstenhulme to adjourn the meeting. Motion seconded by Robert Yack. Motion carried unanimously.

Meeting adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
