The Rooevelt Fire Department maintains an 18 member volunteer fire department. Currently 16 members are Fire Fighter 1 certified, with 5 of these individuals Hazmat Operations certified. The department has been issued a 5 rating from the ISO.

Because of its proximity, the Roosevelt Fire Department responds to calls to Roosevelt City and unincorporated areas of Duchesne and Uintah Counties. This includes approximatley 10,000 residents in an area of 200 square miles.
