The city of Vernal is just one half hour east of Roosevelt. The 2010 census counts shows a population of 6043.

Education is an important part of Roosevelt. The schools strive to maintain its level of educating students K-12th Grades. Or at the higher level of education as the Uintah Basin Applied Technical College or the Utah State University, Branch Campus. High school students have the opportunity to enroll in the courses offered through the Uintah Basin Applied Technical College as well as individuals that have graduated from high school
ANNUAL EVENTS IN ROOSEVELT
Each year, the first week of August, the City of Roosevelt is host to an three(3) day celebration called U.B.I.C. The event includes a parade held on Sat morning along main street, golf/softball tournaments, swimming competitions, running/walking events, craft shows, food courts, live concerts, children's activities, pet shows and ending with fireworks display on Saturday night. The main events are held at the Constitution Park, 792 West 300 South
The Holly Fair is held the first Fri and Sat in November of each year.
There are crafters and small home based businesses that set up booths at the three (3) locations:
Crossroads Community/Senior Center
Utah State University/Branch Campus in the Multi purpose room
Strata Communications/Networks, Multi purpose room.
